This section of the park houses two of France’s most famous landmarks, the Arc de Triomphe and the Eifel tower, both located in the center of Paris. The Arc de Triomphe, ordered by Napoleon in 1806, is a 50 meter high monument honoring the casualties of several wars. The Eifel tower is one of France’s best recognized symbols. The iron tower measuring 324 meters tall was build in 1889 for the World Fair in Paris. Each year millions of people visit the observation deck on top of the structure.
 
Mini Europe houses models of two of Italy’s most famous buildings, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Colosseum. The nearly 56 meter tall Leaning Tower of Pisa tilts significantly towards one side. Construction of the eight storey tower started in the 12th century. Tilting began during construction
due to insufficient foundation and gradually became worse. The Colosseum, a large amphitheater in the center of Rome was build in the first century AD during the heydays of the Roman empire. Tens of thousands of spectators watched gladiator fights, executions and plays.
