【December 5 2015】You may hear these primates referred to as “gelada baboons” or “bleeding heart baboons.” And while they do share many physical traits with baboons, most scientists put these grass-eating monkeys in their own genus. But why “bleeding heart?” Both adult males and females have a bright-red, hourglass-shaped mark on their chests.
