【December 11 2014】The Zêzere River flows through Portugal’s Covão da Ametade valley. Surrounded by the Serra da Estrela (Star Mountains), the Covão da Ametade was once a glacial lake. Over time, sediment filled in the lake and it became a picturesque basin. These days, the Zêzere River winds through the area, marked by its tree-lined banks.
