【November 2 2014】As the first dam and reservoir along the course of the Elan River in central Wales, the Craig Goch Dam is often called the “top dam.” Completed in 1904, the masonry dam provides a watershed for Birmingham, across the border in the West Midlands of England. A hydroelectric system activated in 1997 provides further value by generating power for residents of the valley. The surrounding hills and the banks of the reservoir offer a striking Welsh landscape that attracts many hikers.Explore breathtaking Gallery from the HuluTrip homepage over the past 5 years..
