【May 26 2014】Many cities have taken up the idea of a Memorial Day "field of flags" to honor U.S. enlisted personnel who died in combat. The idea is simple and powerful. Each flag represents one life, and the scenes are pretty sobering. For last year's display in Boston Common, there were 33,000 flags planted in a field.
