Found across Europe and Asia, the bristly beasts will eat just about anything they can find, foraging in forests and near human settlements. Like the domestic pig, the wild boar has an incredible sense of smell, which is its primary instrument in locating food. Though seen as a nuisance in some regions, especially in areas where they've interbred with feral domestic pigs, the wild boar is nevertheless often found on coats of arms and in folklore as a symbol of strength and courage.
