【August 15 2013】This Victoria's riflebird, or duwuduwu, looks like he's conducting a symphony in the Wooroonooran, a national park in Queensland, Australia. And in a way, he is. His courtship display begins with the opened wings, and a "woo-wit!" call to any female duwuduwu nearby. Once he's caught a lady's attention, he dances. It's a complicated step, something like the Electric Slide but with hopping, wing-waving, and a lot of head-swinging showmanship. Often enough, it works and the female duwuduwu accepts his proposal.
