【July 3 2013】This park is a memorial to the Battle of Gettysburg, a brutal three days of combat that turned the tide of the Civil War in 1863. The casualties resulting from the fighting at Gettysburg reached at least 46,000, possibly as high as 51,000, making it the bloodiest battle of the war.
