【May 12 2013】Happy Mother's Day, Ms. Polar Bear. A female polar bear digs a maternity den in fall and usually gives birth to two cubs sometime between November and February. She won't emerge with her cubs until spring thaws begin, sometimes meaning mom has fasted (while nursing the cubs) for as long as eight months. And she doesn't even get to go to brunch after all that. Explore breathtaking Gallery from the HuluTrip homepage over the past 5 years..
