Wandering in Night Safari, the world's first safari park for nocturnal animals, is like intruding into a mysterious space. First, the darkness surrounding you seems to swallow you up and the only thing making you feel safe is the wheels under feet. Second, the strange sounds such as howling from far away and hustling near ears give you a chill even in warm temperature. Third, green looming light hidden behind the dark flashes by your special effects can be a real thrill. Fourth, be careful of what you touch, because one sticky and moist thing under your fingers might be a grotesque tropical frog.
As 12-time winner of best attraction category awarded by Singapore Tourism Board, Night Safari is home to animals with naturalistic nighttime habits. Taking a tram journey or strolling freely on the path, you can explore the secret life of  25,000 animals, among which 90% are active in nighttime.

Tram safari: seven geographical zones in the world
1. Himalayan Foothills
Amid sound of gushing water, you will be greeted by the sight of the Himalayan tahrs--wild mountain ghoats can be seen standing sure-footedly on the rocky outcrops. besides, flocks of bharals (kown as blue sheep) can be seen grazing peacefully in the night. On the rugged hillside, the world's largest wild ghoat, the markhors , looks like those running out of a fairy tale, they owe their mythical appearance to their long corkscrewing horns.

2. Indian Subcontinent
The first animals in this journey is the barasingha deer with their antlers that can have as many as 12 branches. As we approach the territory of the stripped hyenas, keep an eye out for these fierce predators as they are scavengers in the night. Sloth bear might already catch your attention before you see it, as the loud sucking noises they make when they're trying to extract delicious morsels from nearby insect mounds.

3. Equatorial Afriaca
Here you will see familiar wildlife favorites, including giraffes, zebras, hippopotami, spotted hyenas and more, seems that they are all transported from TV. Out in the open grassland, herbivores like the Grant's zebras, Cape giraffes and oryxes reside peacefully, grazing the night away. Pass the grassland and into father reaches of the savannah, you may feel as you are being watched, our clan of spotted hyenas are nearby. Father along the grassland, watch out for the biggest African antelopes--the bongos. Another heavyweight  in the wild that you should look out for are the Nile hippos.
