Review of Shangri-La Seafood Buffet Jeju Summer Selection

Wonderful Cruise plus Seafood Buffet  

• Combine a wonderful horizon cruise on the magnificent Jungmun coastline with a delicious buffet dining experience at The Shangri-La Yacht and Seafood Club in Jeju. Absorb the gorgeous scenery of Jeju Island and dine on a sumptuous selection of fresh seafood, traditional Korean dishes, and international cuisine. 
  
• Kick off your day aboard the Shangri-La or at the restaurant; the choice is yours. Aboard the yacht, enjoy a scenic cruise past the rugged volcanic rocks of Jusangjeolli Cliff. Grab a glass of wine to enjoy on the spacious deck, consider casting a line in the deep blue water to try some fishing, or keep a watchful eye on the horizon for the playful jumps of dolphin pods when cruise. 
  
• At the restaurant, grab a seat near ocean-fronting windows before you snag a plate and head to the buffet. Choose from dozens of dishes that represent a range of cuisines from around the world.
  
• Tuck into delicate bites of buttery lobster, fresh fish, steamed dumplings, and Korean bulgogi. Consider dessert to cap off your meal and then end your day back outside, admiring views of the water before you leave.

• The FOOD VARIETY was very good, covering several cuisine types, and cook-to-order items.
• About 70% of the food items were Asian (Malaysian, Indian Chinese Japanese) and 30% European. FOOD QUALITY was also pretty good given the limitations of a buffet line.
• The chefs were unceasingly refreshing and treplenishing the dishes. SERVICE was generally good. A little short-staffed at mealtimes but was acceptable. AMBIANCE is alright. Bright lighting, tables are somewhat tightly packed, VALUE is dependent to some degree on how much food you can consume, and how much variety you have to have. This is NOT a cheap place to eat. All in all, though, we enjoyed the place.

• In my opinion, Seafood Buffet has long been the best buffet in town and continues to hold this honour through innovation and quality offerings. For those who've been here several times, a few stations are familiar and usually a themed station that changes on a regular basis. 
  
• Having just recently dined there, it was the foreigner promotion.
  
• The appetizer spread was good - various types of olives & cheese, yogurt dips, eggplant cooked in tomato, etc.
  
• I loved the pide at the pizza station - spinach & cheese, just cheese & minced meat. The other standout here is the seafood station - sashimi, sushi, snow crab, prawns, yabbies, mussels, oysters, scallops, etc. I saw some diners eating only the seafood! The dessert spread included a section on Turkish desserts - I particularly liked a type of baklava filled with nuts. Would definitely return to Lemon Garden - am excited to see what the next theme will be!
