Canadian lynx is a North American mammal of the cat family, Felidae. With the recognised subspecies, it ranges across Canada and into Alaska as well as some parts of the northern United States.

It is a North American cat that appeared during the Irving tonian stage of around 1.8 million years ago.Though the bobcat prefers rabbits and hares, it will hunt anything from insects, chickens, geese and other birds and small rodents to deer.

The caracal is a medium-sized wild cat that lives in Africa, the Middle East, Persia and the Indian subcontinent. It reaches 40–50 centimetres (16–20 in) at the shoulder, and weighs 8–18 kilograms (18–40 lb).

The black-footed cat, also called small-spotted cat (Felis nigripes), is the smallest African cat, and is endemic in the southwest arid zone of the southern African subregion.

The jaguarundi or eyra cat (Puma yagouaroundi) is a small wild cat native to Central and South America. The jaguarundi has short legs, an elongated body, and a long tail. The ears are short and rounded.
