We were disappointed to be told that the value viewing level, described in many guide books including Lonely Planet, is no longer open. Regardless it is an impressive building close to HK Park and well worth a visit. Also check it out from Kowloon Harbour at 2000 each night during the Light & Music show.
This is one of the iconic buildings in HK. It stands out on the skyline and at night has a light display that changes constantly. To me it indicates the quiet dominance of China over HK.

Front desk says that the observation deck has been closed for a long time and no idea if it will open again. Building has poor fung shui - hence the water features.
