  Took a ferry to Tap Mun from Wong Shek Pier and did an hour long hike which looped along the southern coastline, passing by 'Balanced Rock', 'Lookout Pavilion' and 'Dragon View Pavilion' and the Tin Hau Temple.   Amazing island, we were told about this place by a friend, the village is full of friendly locals and a whole different atmosphere than the centre of Hong Kong. Wouldn't believe to find this treasure in Hong Kong definitely recommend

  Tap mun is an outlying island in the northern territories, it took some times to get there, but it is absolutely beautiful, perfect for camping or a getaway from the city.

  If anyone complains of there being too many highrises in HK, then just take them on a ferry trip to Tap Mun, they'll soon realise the error of their ways. The island is pretty and has some lovely scenery from its highest point above the village. It's also very popular with campers.

  This is the best place to visit in HK!!!!! A small island that take you probably less than 1-2 hour to walk around the entire island. Take bus 94 from Sai Kung to the end stop (Wong Shek Pier), or if public holiday/sunday a 96R bus running from Diamond Hill main bus terminal all the way to Wong Shek Pier.... More
