  I was passing nearby and decided to try and find these steps and historic gas lamps which seem to still operate on gas today according to the explanation board. They are certainly nice gas lamps and an impressive set of stone steps but probably not too much more I can say.

  This is a legendary place. Since we cannot gain access to TVB Film Center in Hong Kong any more, the Duddell Steps are the must-see for Hong Kong movie lovers.   Quiet easy to miss. Something wouldn't go out of the way to do but easily planned to slot in with other tasks. Quick photo that's it.

  I just stumbled across this walking to Central from my hotel in Ice House Street. The main point of interest here are the antique gas lamps, but if it weren't from the tourist signage and write up, I would have just passed by without taking notice.

  Yeah, they're "colonial" but...they're steps. Not particularly festive of lovely by any means. However, the two gas lamps there were a bit more lovely and worth a photo if you're in the area, but in retrospect...probably not worth the time it took to find the place (it is a bit hidden).
