  Being classified as one of the best beaches in Hong Kong, I was more than disappointed by that beach. I have never seen such a polluted beach in Hong Kong, you could not even make your way into the water due to all the plastic. Unbelievably that people let their little children play in the water... do not go!

  Is a nice quiet beach with nice place to eat and drink. Easy to get there and there are activities available, however you find water dirty and lots of rubbish around now a days.... Used to be better ....

  Lantau's south-facing beach is usually a visitor's sub-tropical delight but recent events have turned this beach into a dangerous and ugly eyesore.   Very pleasant beach, water was great, facilities were very clean and there's a public bus pick up just behind the bathhouses. Only small complaint was the trashy water, which is a problem all over HK.Lifeguards were on duty while we were there, but the surf is very gentle and pleasant (YRMV)

  Cheung Sha Beach (aka Long Beach) offers a long expanse of sandy beach with a building on site that offers toilets, showers, and changing rooms, as well as a couple of very small shops that offer swim suits, beach toys, soft drinks and a few snacks.   Coming from Queensland Australia it is hard to please me when it comes to beaches. I have been to other places throughout the world which have wowed me but Lower Cheung Beach failed to excite.
