  The novelty of a Catholic cathedral all the way in the Far East is what really makes this site a tourist attraction, despite the obvious ties to colonialist missionaries, although not many tourists seem to know about the place.   The Immaculate Conception Cathedral is so central and located a few feet above the busy streets of Central Hong Kong. Airconditioned and well lit, the Sunday mass was a nice experience to have. The church choir very good and the church porters very helpful.

  I have problem with direction - so I got there with the help of my Hong Kong friends who are non-Christians, with the help of Google Map. If you are a fan of John Paul II, this cathedral is a must. The first class relic (hair) of St John Paul II is kept there for veneration.
