  This is a new historical site... when we talked into the Tea Boutique (for a wonderful experience tasting a variety of teas) they literally asked how we heard about it because tourists from outside of HK don't usually come there.   A historical site, very well preserved and now converted to promote Chinese culture exchange. I enjoyed the natural serenity and beauty of the surrounding - trees, flowers, birds and the fishes&frog in the pond. The restaurant is run by pensioners and is very busy.

  It is indeed a very peaceful place, you can enjoy a nice afternoon here overlooking Mei Fu at the top of the academy. As you can tell from the name of the academy, it is a place dedicated to the contribution of Professor Jao. I do not knot Professor Jao before the visit and instantly appreciate his talent and way...   If you happen upon Mei Foo one day, take a short hike up the hill to the gallery. It has some great writing on display by the great man as well as some architectural interests.
