  The view from the top is great, even on a cloudy day. The Octopus card will get you up there with the tram, but I think it's worth the extra money to pay for the ticket that gives you entrance to the observatory as well.   although I didn't go the highest it's still a unique experience. you must take yourself out of the glamour side of Hong Kong and visit this place to get in touch with the nature and yourself.

  Very cool view of Hong Kong, lines are confusing and long and summer months are disgusting hot but once at the top its mesmerizing. I go to the peak every time I'm in Hong Kong!

  I visited the peak as part of a Hong Kong Island tour and did not take the funicular. The views are the same and incredible nonetheless.

  I have walked the 7km to the top through the green mountainous area of Hong Kong. The view is outstanding!

  You have not only stunning views on the city center side, with Hongkong Bay, but also on the green, other side with lush vegetation down to the sea.
