  It's just an urban park. I liked the calm atmosphere and when we arrived there, everyone was working out. There are some beautiful altars in the back, so if you get the chance go there, it's not so far from the main entrance. The garden is very well preserved anyways.

  I grew up learning about the Portuguese and their history. Be in a place that people says that Luis de Camoes wrote part of his most famous book is huge. The place is beautiful and nice to spend some time.

  Ruínas da Antiga Catedral de São Paulo( 大三巴 ) is overcrowded. But just walk 5 minutes away to the Camoes Garden. The park is open from 6am to 10pm daily.   Camões is a 16th century Portuguese writer (the Portuguese Shakespeare or Cervantes, one can say). This beautiful garden was made in his honour, as it is supposed that he wrote part of his masterpiece "The Lusiads" here. You can read parts of his works as you walk through the garden and you can spend a very relaxing hour here.

  One of reasons we like to visit Camões Garden in Macau is to see the 10 cobblestone engravings which represent cantos of the important historical poet, Luis de Camões.   Excellent garden among the modern infrastructure... unique part is the statue adorned to a korean martyr... dont know much about history but I found that a bit unusual...If you happen to live in Macau for work or otherwise you should visit this ... also good views of sea....

  The Camoes Garden and Grotto is a very welcome green oasis in this busy city. There are paths for strolling and viewpoints across the river and the city, as well as quiet corners to sit in. the main monuments are to Camoes and to the Korean martyr St. Andrew Kim Taegeon.
