  I purposely passed by this area while walking from A-Ma Temple towards St. Lawrence Church. Apparently Lilau Square was one of the places in Macau where natural spring water could be collected.   You pass Lilau Square on the way to A Ma Temple & The Moorish Barracks. This is quaint little shady spot with big trees and benches to take a break. You see locals with kids in strollers taking a break to having lunch here. Lot's of quick photo opportunities. You probably don't want to spend more than 10min here but... More

  The Lilau square is small and pretty uninpressive. It is part of the historic center of Macau and has a few traditional buildings around but apart from that it lacks all the glamour or beauty of e.g. Senado square or Old Taipa.   Visitors in the past used to drink from the spring to assure they'd never forget Macau. Today, it's better to have some bottled water and rest on one of the benches. Very quaint spot and a reminder what the past.

  There's nothing much here. We were there as we followed the heritage tour. We took a short break and had ice-cream there.
