Khao Kheow Open Zoo has been established for 60 years. The Khao Kheow Open Zoo is a public zoo, which the government can use income to develop the country. The zoo has also been developed over times in order to attract visitors more and to compete with other zoos and upcoming zoos in Asia. 
The African savannah section is designed to follow the zoo’s Geographic Theme which is set to ensure that the animals live in a habitat and environment that is like their natural habitat in the wild. We have many kinds of the animals which live together in harmony in the same area, like giraffes, zebras, ostriches, rhinoceros, springboks, oryxs, impalas, bestbok. This large park is set in about 2 acres and surrounded by a dry ditch. Visitors can see the animals up close and you can feed them by yourself.
The Walk through Aviary is positioned along 800 meters of stream. Enjoy the large natural environment which is perfect for birds and other animals. The staff who look after the Aviary are professional and do their best to make every animal happy which is good for breeding as well.
