【June 27 2013】At the top of the stairs is a signal light to warn sailors of the rough shores in the Îles de Lilia archipelago, on the southern opening of the English Channel. East of Île Vierge (Virgin Island), where this 271-ft. granite lighthouse shines, is the Brittany region of France. Until 2010, the lighthouse had a keeper.
