Beautiful Star of the Sea:Aqua Planet Jeju

With total floor area 25,600 m5,600m², 10,800 tons, the scale of Aqua Planet Jeju is approximately 11 times that of 63 Sea World.This museum offers versatile features, including an aquarium as the main attraction, in addition to Educational program, amazing aqua show and many more convenience facilities. A hands-on experience is also available where children can touch real-life sea animals and partake in many of the science and history classes that are on-going throughout the year.

Aqua Planet Jeju, an “amusement theme park” offering the world’s top 10 educational, cultural, and entertainment content, operates a marine science experience hall and a large-scale aquatic performance center together with a supersized tank that recreates the coastal waters of Jeju Island. This is also the first place where the “whale shark” was introduced into Korea.

 

The mission of Aqua Planet is to publicize the proposition of “preservation of ecosystem” and to spread the “values of marine culture” by showing the public diverse facets of marine ecosystem that are not readily accessible in everyday life.
