2.Aqua Planet Jeju
As the largest aquarium in Asia,the total area of Aqua Planet Jeju is 25,600m² with approximately 48,000 animals and plants of around 500 species. It operates a marine science experience hall and a large-scale aquatic performance center together with a supersized tank that recreates the coastal waters of Jeju Island. This is also the first place where the “whale shark” was introduced into Korea.
More particularly, the daily program about Haenyeo can only be experienced at Aqua Planet, which is presented as a diving performance. It also demonstrates the strength and tenacity of the women on Jeju Island.
