Station 1: Seoraksan Mountain

After 3.5 hours of a comfortable bus tour, we arrive at the root of Seoraksan Mountain!
Seoraksan Mountain was named Seorak ('Seol' meaning 'snow' and 'Ak' meaning 'big mountain') because the snow would not melt for a long time keeping the rocks in a permanent state of white.It was designated as a park preservation area, and in August 1982, as a Biosphere Preservation District by UNESCO. You can see the flagship species in the mountain.pinus pumila and Nemorhaedus caudatus. The autumn in Seoraksan Mountain is more magnificent with the fall foliage all over the mountain. The snow on the top and the fiery maple leaves add radiance and beauty to each other.
