  lots of shops carrying similar items but quality is so so. If U have plenty of time, U will find there are a couple shops that carry better items made locally or in China. Eg the White Garden on the Nathan Road side of Fa Yuen St. closer to Prince Edward Rd. I found some good dresses/tops for ~$150 ea.... More

  It is a open area with different stalls. I regard it is interesting to walk along and see the cheap items. Not all of them are in high quality but we can't demand much with this price. There are also some shops on the 2 sides with Japanese products.

  Not just the usual tourist souvenirs, but a lot of everyday stuff too. Towels, cotton underwear, clothing, bags etc. All usable things that are not throwaway quality. The streets are set wider too since the deadly fire a few years back. The road width restrictions are enforced too.

  Overall a good place for budget shopping. However, pls check the quality of the things you buy before purchasing. Do not buy from this shop. The necklace they sold me broke the moment I took it out of the packaging and the salesgirl refuse for an exchange or refund. She had a bad attitude and even shouted at us.

  Be swallowed up into the ambience of Hong Kong and the multitude of local offerings as you become one with the crowd. Many local vendors and stores to explore. Travel light and keep your loved ones close since some places get a bit crowed. Overall a good place to take in the local flavor.

  Hong Kong has many facets and also many high end areas - Fa Yeun Street feels like China and walking back in time. With small local food stands, shops along the street in an energetic, light filled "alley", it's definitely worth a trip. It can get quite busy so make sure you are paying attention to small children and friends... More
