  The ferry journey to and from the island only adds to charm of Peng Chau. The shops and restaurants offer a great choice, the two beaches are great but for me the coastal walk and being stunned by the rock formations was the highlight. I guess weekends it's really busy but I traveled on Tuesday and it was fine.

  Peng Chau is a tiny island, without cars or anything noisier than a bicycle.   I just got back from a day-trip to Peng Chau Island. It is a tiny, sleepy island just off Lantau Island. If you have had enough of bustling Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, you might want to visit Peng Chau. It is definitely not a must-see bucket-list item, though!   Most of the restaurant were closed even on public holidays, not many things to see there. The only thing interesting is that we went to discovery bay by taking a old ferry, it stopped in a isolated place called "trappist diary".

  Totally different experience from HK island, its stepping back in time, very chilled and relaxing, good restaurants. definitely worth a day trip during your stay in HK. catch ferry from near central
