Tianshui Guagua

  Guagua is a special snack of Tianshui, Gansu. Tianshui Guagua has a long history. It is recorded that when Kui Xiao was the separatist of Tianshui in the late Western Han Dynasty, guagua was rated as royal food. The eating of guagua is also unique. It is torn to pieces, flavored with chili oil, sesame paste, soy sauce, salt, vinegar, mashed garlic and other spices. If you prefer spicy food, Tianshui guagua can be a classical spicy snack. The local people like to have guagua for breakfast and some even ”can't live a day without guagua”.
