【January 30 2017】Muskoxen aren’t native to Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park in central Norway. Herds were introduced to the area in the 1930s. It’s an ideal habitat for the sturdy bovines, who feed on moss, lichen, and grasses on the tundra. This photo was likely taken in autumn before muskox herds head to high-altitude terrain in the park, where snow is sparse and it’s easier for them to uncover grazing plants beneath the snow.Explore breathtaking Gallery from the HuluTrip homepage over the past 5 years..
