Transportation From Jeju International Airport
In Jeju Taxi Station, there are two different destinations, you need to choose the corresponding one to take. One is to Jeju Downtown, the other is to Seogwipo. Taxi with red, yellow and green stripes is owned by the excellent divers who have driven over 20 years without any accident.
The initial meter charge is at KRW2,800. Hiring a taxi for the day costs about KRW100,000, but the driver will likely not speak much English, so have the hotel write down the itinerary ahead of time.
The Airport Llimousine in Jeju has only one line, the No. 600 Bus between Seogwipo and the airport in Jeju City express, stopping only at a few select stops, including Jungmun Tourist Resort Complex (and International Convention Center), World Cup Stadium and terminating at the Seogwipo KAL Hotel. It runs from 6:20 to 22:00, scheduled every 18 to 20 minutes a bus, which is very convenient.
The NO. 100,200,300,500 Bus all go via Jeju Airport, which broadcast on is only Korean. The bus system is comprehesive as the stations are changeable. It is cheap but not convennient for the non-Korean speakers. But the fee is only KRW 1000.
There are also some free circular hotel buses in airport, which are unscheduled and need to book in advance. If you want to take the bus, inquiry of the hotels need to be advanced.
The car pickup from Jeju Island Airport is highly recommended to you as it is the most convenient and reliable way to the Jeju city to be your first step of your safe trip. You don’ t have to worry about the evening flight time and waiting for long time for a bus. The car pickup is even available at midnight. What’s more, the staff is good at English and Korean, and it is fluent to communicate with the driver about schedule and line.
