Daedundo Island is the largest of a small group of islands that lie off the northern coast of Heuksando island.
The island has a boisterous fishing community and mussel farming industry, with three villages on it and a combined population of 400.
To its west is the smaller islet Damuldo Island.

Great ocean views can be seen from most parts of the island.
It is also possible just to walk on its 2km road network while stopping by at any of its three fishing villages.
