Located in Yeoju-gun, Gyeonggi-do Province, the Hangang River Culture Pavilion is a commemorative cultural space where visitors can learn about the background and potential benefits of the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project.
This restoration project (2009-2011) was launched by the Korean government as part of its environmental restoration and water shortage prevention efforts. Under the theme “Enjoying 5,000 Years of the Arts”, the Hangang River Culture Pavilion sheds light on the history and cultural assets of the Hangang River and provides opportunities to engage in various cultural activities.
The center also displays media artwork by German artist Julius Popp, who is famous for creating novel experiences of communicating via drops of falling water.
Structure Size Site area: 42,768㎡Total floor area: 2,058㎡ (3F, B1, Observatory) Exhibition hall area: 3,576㎡ (Ground floor area 2,947㎡) Maximum Occupancy 300 people at a time Admission / Participation Fees Free Baby Stroller Rentals ID card should be deposited for the rental Parking Facilities Available (About 50 small-sized cars, 80 large-sized cars) Parking Fee Free Foreign Language Intepretation Services English service is available for those who made a group reservation in advance.
