Introduction: Yi zi ban has a story dating back to the 300 years about a mother cooking glutinous rice cake to pray for the return of his son. There are two parts in the preparation process: the wrapper and the filling. The wrapper is made from glutinous rice flour and the filling contains sliced lean pork, shredded squid, dried bean curd, green onion tuber, Chinese mushrooms and small dried shrimp. The filling shall be seasoned and steamed. Next, the filling is put in wrapper and the mixture is shaped like a cupcake tied by a piece of lotus leaf or banana leaf and steamed until all ingredients are done.
