Macau Luxury One Day Tour Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral, Na Tcha Temple & City Walls
When it was built in 1602, St. Paul's Cathedral was considered Christendom's greatest monument in the East. A kitchen fire in 1835 burned all but the beautiful statuary and carvings of the front facade that has today become a symbol of Macau.
Just behind the cathedral is the humble Na Tcha Temple. Built in 1888 to honor the traditional Chinese deity Nezha (Na Tcha in Cantonese), it remains an active place of worship. A surviving section of the city wall still stands next to it.
Macau A-Ma Temple
A-Ma Temple already exsited before the city of Macau came into being. It consists of the Gate pavillon, the Memorial Arch, the Prayer Hall, the Hall of Benevolence, the Hall of Guanyin and Zhengjiao Chanlin (a Buddha pavillon). The variety of pavilions dedicated to the worship of different detities in a single complex make A-Ma Temple an exemplary representation of Chinese culture inspired by Confucianism, Toaism, Buddhism and multiple folk beliefs.
Kun Iam Statue
Kun Iam Statue is usually a 32-metre tall statue of your goddess of mercy, a considerably revered deity in Macau. It's situated on the manmade island off the Macau peninsula, and linked to it by a 60-metre causeway. Geomancy was employed to find out one of the most auspicious place to place the statue, to align it with Guia Hill plus the Kun Iam Temple.
Macau Buffet
Macau buffets offer both Asian and Western cuisines. This is partly caused by the fact that Macau was a Portuguese colony for centuries, but also because of Western tourists and Chinese appetite for foreign food.
Macau Tower
Soaring 338 metres above the city, the Tower dominated the skyline and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Macau cityscape, China, the Pearl River and even some islands of Hong kong on a clear day, It offers a list of exciting adventure such as the World's Highest Bungy Jump, the SkyJump, Skywalk and Mast Climb.
The Venetian Macao Resort
