Macau Luxury One Day Tour Ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral, Na Tcha Temple & City Walls
When it was built in 1602, St. Paul's Cathedral was considered Christendom's greatest monument in the East. A kitchen fire in 1835 burned all but the beautiful statuary and carvings of the front facade that has today become a symbol of Macau.
Just behind the cathedral is the humble Na Tcha Temple. Built in 1888 to honor the traditional Chinese deity Nezha (Na Tcha in Cantonese), it remains an active place of worship. A surviving section of the city wall still stands next to it.
Macau Fisherman's Wharf

Lotus Square
The sculpture, made of gilded bronze, weighs 6.5 tonnes, and is 6 metres high. The diameter of the flower is 3.6 metres at maximum. The major part is composed of a stem, petals and pistil—a total of 16 components. The base consists of 23 pieces of red granite in three layers and in the shape of lotus leaves. These signify the three main parts of the territory: Macau Peninsula, Taipa Island and Coloane Island.
The lotus flower in full bloom symbolises the everlasting prosperity of Macau. The sculpture was presented by the State Council of the People's Republic of China in 1999 to mark the Macau sovereignty transfer from Portugal to the PRC. Lotus Square today is popular with skateboarders because of its abundance of ledges, kerbs and stairs.
