About 10-15 Minutes of drive from Beach road, is this stunning temple completely made out of wood.. not just wood - but beautifully carved wooden aw inspiring temple.
Man mythological stories are carved into blocks of wood. many life size carvings of gods and goddesses -with calm and perfect expressions - towards evening there is also a cultural program of Thai traditional dance and other display of art..a Must visit when in Pattaya.
When I visited there was an engineer from Burma, who was working on the site, he was very helpful and explained not only the carvings but also some of the architectural details of the building. that was very nice.
I wish I had carried a better camera with me...but still managed some pictures of lovely carved wood on my mobile.
Visited this as I wanted to go to a Temple whilst I was in Pattaya and this looked very different from the usual temples I had been to. It is a large site and takes a while to walk around but it is an extremely beautiful place and very peaceful. Would definitely recommend going here.

It is worth getting a guide to point out different aspects of the building.There no fixed charge for the guides however they do rely on tips.
The detail is amazing, & I'm pleased that they are now treating the woodwork after finished with preservatives, I'm not 100% sure that the preservative is the right one.
This is the 2nd time I had been to the Sanctuary of Truth.
WOW!! this place is in the making for 35 years and it shows the hardwork gone into it. its very near from pattaya town and should take about 500 baht to reach.
