After all, that is what a bus tour does. First though, Hong Kong has great public transport - double decker buses, mini buses, ferry, trams and the underground are all cheap, frequent and easy to use. Second the contactless Octopus card makes it all easy to pay for. Third everything is well signposted and free WiFi means you can use your smart phone to help you find your way. So if you want to make your own way then just use public transport.

I wouldn't recommend this one bit. Such waste of money. There is actually nothing REALLY interesting to see in HKG

If you'd like a guided tour of a busy city by bus or an introductory orientation guide then Big Bus will suit. It gives a different perspective to exploring by foot and serves it's purpose, having said they I've had better tours in other cities.

there are 3 lines. the frequency was not great as had to wait a long time between buses. on the Kowloon side, the bus stop is not at the ferry terminal and i had to go into the tourist office to get direction as noone to ask. would recommend just using public transport to get around

We only managed to ride two of the three routes and even this took us several hours due to the heavy traffic.The buses were well presented with a useful multi lingual commentary.

We where taken around the same area for 45min and when asked to let us off, we got an angry reply. Not going to go by bus in Hong Kong anymore.
