After all, that is what a bus tour does. First though, Hong Kong has great public transport - double decker buses, mini buses, ferry, trams and the underground are all cheap, frequent and easy to use. Second the contactless Octopus card makes it all easy to pay for. Third everything is well signposted and free WiFi means you can use your smart phone to help you find your way. So if you want to make your own way then just use public transport.

I wouldn't recommend this one bit. Such waste of money. There is actually nothing REALLY interesting to see in HKG

If you'd like a guided tour of a busy city by bus or an introductory orientation guide then Big Bus will suit. It gives a different perspective to exploring by foot and serves it's purpose, having said they I've had better tours in other cities.
