Highlight of Woljeongsa Temple Stay
Woljeongsa Temple(월정사 (오대산))
Composed of 60 temples, and 8 monasteries, Woljeongsa was established by Monk Ja Jang(590~658). Buddhist culture of Goryeo Dynasty can be viewed in Seongbo Museum with Sari-Pagoda and Stone Seated Buddha figure. Foreigners can pay a courtesy call to Jeokmyeolbogung and Jeokgwangjeon in autumn Korea 2016. The budo site (relic site)(15-minute walk) and sagoji (historic document storage) are fantastic tourist sites for foreigners nearby Woljeongsa Temple. Saoji is an hour's walk from Woljeongsa Temple towards Sangwonsa near Yeonggamsa Temple.
Woljeongsa Museum(월정사성보박물관)
It is so pity that it is closed at Mid Autumn Festival(Chuseok). However, foreigners could still pay a visit of Woljeongsa Museum in autumn 2016. Founded in 1999, treasures and artifacts are displayed, such as Jungchanggwonseonmun (National Treasure No. 292), Woljinseokbo (Treasure No.745), the remains of Octagonal nine-story pagoda (National Treasure No.48).
Better news is that free admission fee won't make extra charge for your budget temple stay.

Odaesan National Park (오대산국립공원)
Featured with 1563m high Birobong Peak, Odaesan spreads southeast with Mt. Sodaesan, Horyeongbong Peak and Mt. Sogyebangsan. It is more exciting than bumgee jump when you climb to the highest peak near Woljeongsa Temple. The east side is connected with Sangwangbong Peak and Durobong Peak, which are over 1000m high for your autumn temple stay in Korea.
Yes, if you are absorbed into hiking,pls participate in autumn Woljeongsa Temple Stay. For your safety, pls not hike from 16:00-04:00 and it is prohibited.

Dongpigol (동피골) → Dongdaesan Mt. (동대산) → Jingogae Pass (진고개)
Recommended Three: Sangwangbong Peak Course (14km, 5hrs 20min):
Sangwonsa Temple (상원사) → Birobong Peak (비로봉) → Sangwangbong Peak (상왕봉) → Duroryeong (두로령) → Bukdaesa (북대사) → Sangwonsa Temple (상원사)
Recommended Four: Sogeumgang Course (13.3km, 7hrs):
Mureunggye (무릉계) → Sipjaso (십자소) → Yeonhwadam (연화담) → Sikdangam (식당암) → Guryong Waterfall (구룡폭포) → Manmulsang (만물상) → Baegundae (백운대) → Nagyeong Waterfall (낙영폭포) → Noinbong Peak (노인봉) → Jingogae Pass (진고개)
Recommended Five: Birobong Peak Course (3.5km, 1hr 40min):
Sangwonsa Temple (상원사) → Jungdaesa Temple (중대사) → Jeongmyeolbogung (적멸보궁) → Birobong Peak (비로봉)

Old Daewallyeong Road is the bridge of public transportation, culture, and the border of the natural environment between Yeongdong and Yeongseo areas. Walking or driving along Old Road near Woljeong Temple Stay in autumn in Korea 2016 offers a peaceful maple view that is very spectacular.

Sangwonsa Temple (상원사(오대산))
Located at Jungdaeam on the way to Jeokmyeolbogung in the Mt. Odaesan Birobong Peak direction. A hermitage of which origin is the Hangang River is at the southeast point. Jeokmyeolbogung is a reliquary which possesses the bonesetting relics of Buddha, Which was brought by monk Ja Jang from Tang (China). Foreigners can enjoy Southeastern Buddhist culture in autumn Korea 2016.
