Seoraksan Mountain Maple Tour

The colorful fall foliage is the most stunning scenery in autumn. Many tourists are planning to see appreciate the blazing maple leaves in the Korean mountain, but it’s doubt that whether it would be crowded or not. Then Konjiam Hwadam Forest would be your best choice. It is the botanical garden that maintains the most of red-leaf tree species. Built in 2010, it is a peaceful garden with fewer people and more stunning view.

Giant Red Leaves Tree 

Start from Seoul city , it is just one-hour drive to Konjiam Hwadam Forest. The entrance is covered by the colorful red leaves. Walking along the fall foliage path, a giant red leaves tree stands there, which 12-meter height enduring the wind and rain for more than 200 years. It was transplanted from Jeollabuk-do, as the facade of Konjiam Hwadam Forest.
Wondering through the entrance, the path stretch 3.5 kilo meters long. The red leaves in valley are more blazing than ones deep in the forest under the sunshine. Because the sunlight shines on the leaves and makes the red color deeper. As the large temperature difference in day and night in fall, the red leaves in more beautiful.

 
Everyday, there are more than 3000 tourists visiting the Konjiam Hwadam Forest. In holiday, the quantity is over 10,000. It’s the best opportunity to see the fall foliage in Seoul suburb.

Gangbyeon Station (Seoul Subway Line 2), Exit 1.- Take Bus 1113-1.
Jamsil Station (Seoul Subway Line 2 & 8), Exit 6.- Take Bus 500-1
Gangnam Station (Seoul Subway Line 2 & Shinbundang Line), Exit 7.- Take Bus No. 500-2.
Get off at Gonjiam Terminal and take a taxi to Konjiam Resort (10~15 mins, about 8,000 to 10,000 won) or a suttle bus.
