Kiyomizu shopping street is a historic district between Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomizu-dera Temple, mainly containing three parts which are Ninen-zaka,Sannen-zaka,Kiyomizu-zaka. If you are visiting Yasaka Shrine, it is highly recommended that you take a slow walk through the meandering small historic streets and finalily reach Kiyoumizu-dera. ![]() The best way of exploring the street is probably from the north so you walk towards the main shops and things become more lively. The streets before reaching Ninen-zaka are so quaint and peaceful. This was the quieter area before we reach the bustling touristy parts.
