Oh la la, the macaron! The epitome of kawaii, all wrapped in a neat, tiny little package of bite-sized deliciousness. Lucky for all you 2016 HYPER JAPAN Christmas Market goers, Loretta Liu’s Supercute Macarons are back by popular demand! Ranked in TimeOut’s top 5 macarons in all of London, Ms. Liu’s creations are stocked in various cafes and patisseries, but On Cafe is where she calls home.

This workshop will lead the group through the basics of macaron decorating, including seasonal designs and which materials to use. The second half of the workshop will have each participant try their hand at decorating their own set of macarons. Designs introduced and taught during the workshop will include:

– Christmas tree
– Elf
– Snowman
– Christmas bauble

A gift box will be provided for those wishing to take their decorated macarons home.

Loretta Liu is an award-winning chef who grew up in multicultural Singapore. Exposed to many different food cultures from an early age, Chef Liu began her culinary tutelage at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. Relocating to the UK, she quickly found herself as chef and cookery school teacher in Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons. In 2010, she opened her first venture, On Cafe, and soon found success with her macarons picked up by Harvey Nichols.
