Introduction: Seven-layer rice cake is a snack that Hakka people make when traditional festivals, religious rites or temple fairs come. They will also treat relatives and friends with this snack. Seven-layer rice cake is made from rice milk. Garlic, Chinese sausage, dried squid cubes are first stir-fried. Rice milk and other ingredients are put in a container and steamed for five minutes. This step shall be repeated seven times in the same steaming container. The cake has seven layers and you can separate them one by one. The cake is often severed with a watery condiment made from ginger, green onion and sesame oil.
