Introduction: Pounded tea and rice porridge consists of a mix of unpolished rice, tea leaves, roasted and peeled peanuts, ginger, salt, anise, fructus amomi, dried tangerine peels, fennel, spring water, and so on that are ground or pounded together with various roasted nuts, seeds, grains, and flavorings. The porridge is held in a pot and it tastes best within half an hour after it is done. The tea is drunk for breakfast or on cold winters as a tasty and healthy restorative.
