Introduction: Hakka ground tea is a unique way to make tea in China which has been prevalent in Hakka area for hundreds of years. There are always many other ingredients apart from tea. Pounded tea consists of a mix of tea leaves and herbs that are ground or pounded together with various roasted nuts, seeds, grains, and flavorings. Traditionally, Lei cha is a savory brew; however, in contemporary interpretations it is often consumed as a sweet drink.
