There is always plenty happening at Taronga Zoo. With over 4000 animals to see, over 20 keeper talks and shows a day, tours, events & concerts, there is always a new reason to visit Taronga Zoo.
   
Sky Safari
Allowing visitors to get an aerial view of the zoo, a round trip ride on Sky Safari is included in admission ticket. Sky Safari travels from the lower entrance of Taronga Zoo near the ferry wharf opening from 09:30am to 05:00pm. Access is restricted during unfavorable winds and peak seasons. Sometimes, you may be lucky to see bird's show on sky.
 
Bird & Seal Show at Taronga Zoo
Taronga Zoo's new 950 seat theatre is the perfect place to learn more about seals and their marine environment. For more than 20 years visitors have enjoyed watching the graceful seals show off their natural abilities including catching fish, climbing and diving and our current show has more than a few surprises in store, such as Californian Sea Lion, Australian Sea Lion, New Zealand Fur-Seal.

Facilities & Accessibility Tips
1. It is a must-have companion for your zoo visit! Browse the interactive Map, get dally updates on Sky Safari, animal talks, shows, and encounters, discover kid's Wild Squad Missions and much more!
2. Getting an map is important, catering to different types of disabilities, grouping Taronga's facilities into six categories, soundscape, tranquil area, picnic area, tactile, low light and cafe/eateries.
3. Taronga Zoo is wheelchair-friendly so that elevators and ramps are located around steep areas. If you need best routes, book the wheelchair or use the miniature train or Sky Safari to explore the site, please call (02)99692777.
4. Pre-arrangements can be made to have these assistance dogs. For a visit, please call (02)9978 4785.
5. The Sky Safari operates from 9.30am – 4:30pm. Use of the Sky Safari is included in the ticket admission price. All children up to the age of 14 travelling on the Sky Safari must be accompanied by an adult. Due to limited capacity, during peak periods Sky Safari may only operate one-way trips to facilitate effective guest movement in the zoo.
6. Enjoy a leisurely train ride through Taronga Zoo from Backyard to Bush to Sun Bears. The best location to board is outside the Taronga Food Market or hail the driver anywhere along the path. (The train is pram and wheelchair friendly.)
