Dining at The Parisian Macau Executive Chef Alex Gaspar fell in love with food in his parents’ restaurant in South Africa, when he had to step up and run the kitchen for the first time. After culinary school, he found his way to Macau, where he has been for the last 8 years. “My philosophy is simple,” says Gaspar, “always use the best ingredients and help them speak for themselves.” For the 9 restaurants and food court at The Parisian Macao, that means bringing together the rich mélange of influences that run through Macanese cuisine, and the traditions steeped in French techniques to create something new.“ overlooking the Cotai Strip and the beautiful Venetian,” Alex said, before adding mischievously, “We could even arrange a once-in-a-lifetime romantic moment on top of the Eiffel Tower.” You can find Chef Alex behind the stoves at The Parisian Macao almost every day, crafting the newest additions to the landmark hotel’s extraordinary menus.
