Phoenix Park Ski Resort

Phoenix Park Ski Resort is located about two hours from Seoul, perched up on Taegisan Mountain. Renowned for the beautiful natural scenery surrounding the resort, Phoenix Park’s elevation, aspect and powdery snow cover gives visitors the opportunity to experience a great snow holiday.

The resort comprises 22 ski slopes, 12 of which are accredited for international competition and will be used for the freestyle ski and snowboarding competition during the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.

An 8-person gondola and eight lifts which are differentiated by slope difficulty almost cater for skiers of all experience levels to access the slopes. For those just beginning or looking to improve their skills, there is a ski school and kids ski school on offer as well.

The facilities at Phoenix Park are exceptional, including Mount Blanc restaurant at the top of the peak where you can dine and enjoy the surrounds. At the main complex at the bottom of the mountain you will find a combination of local, Asian and Western food outlets.

Other entertainment on site includes a bowling alley, karaoke, a billiards room, a game centre and the huge indoor / outdoor water park, Phoenix Park Blue Canyon which comes complete with spa facilities. Retail shops and a grocery store add to the convenience of the resort.

Phoenix Park Condominium, the accommodation complex, consists of a 5-star hotel, three condominium buildings, 4 villas and a youth hostel. All the buildings are connected by an underground passage so that guests can move around between facilities and the slope area regardless of weather conditions.

Other local attractions include the Pyeongchang Mooee Arts Centre, Herbnara Farm and the Heungjeong Valley in which waterfalls and natural mineral springs locate. And watch out for the film crews as Phoenix Park is also a location for one of Korea's most popular TV dramas, Winter Sonata.
