Today we have a short and scenic drive to our lodge along the Denali Highway, located in an area popular with wildlife spotters and fishermen. Tonight we will stay in rooms at a basic Alaskan lodge - these could be dormitory or private rooms, depending on their availability and our group size. Estimated Drive Time - 3-4 hours. On the following day we will head out along the river on motorised canoes to an area deep in the Alaskan wilderness, where we will be able to head out on a trek to a nearby glaicer, explore the surrounding wilderness, and then wild camp for the night. Here we will visit the Fish Creek Observation Site where we will hopefully spot Alaskan brown grizzlies or black bears fishing for salmon. Today we will cross the border into Mexico, and over the next two days we will drive south along the Pacific coast, staying close to the towns of Guaymas and Mazatlan en route.
